Fast Snare Rolls ________________ You probably often heard that: this commercial dancetrack stays right in it's tempo, but the snare fill-in gets even faster and than explodes in a crash. Well, this one explains how you can do it with any tracker, just experiment with the data that is in use and get ready for your next traxx: 1. Choose the tempo you need ;) 2. Load a snare. 3. Take a track and do it this way (FT2-style): C-4 1 04 000 -- we start with silence C-4 1 08 000 C-4 1 0C 000 C-4 1 0F 000 C-4 1 14 000 -- ... and slowly get louder C-4 1 18 000 C-4 1 1C 000 C-4 1 1F 000 C-4 1 24 000 C-4 1 28 000 C-4 1 2C 000 C-4 1 2F 000 C-4 1 34 E93 -- ... and now the fast roll C-4 1 38 E93 C-4 1 3C E93 C-4 1 3F E93 OK, looks bad. But please notice the effect-track of the last four lines. E9x is the basis you need, and E93 "doubles" the speed by replaying the note. Pretty simple, but it rocks *g*. Article 1999 by BassPlace
