Sleepless soundtrack released. * KB writes on comp.sys.ibm.pc.demos: * Due to massive request and my desire to use both of my ears, i just released the complete sound track of the winning MS2000 demo "Sleepless" as nice 128kbit stereo MP3 versions - for you to listen to - and to put into the demo to make it be stereo as well. currently, it resides there: ftp://ftp.scene.org/incoming/MEKKASYMPOSIUM2000/demo/sleepless_stereo_addon.zip if you don't find it, it may have been moved to the "official" MS2000 demo tree: ftp://ftp.scene.org/pub/parties/2000/mekkasymposium2000/demo/sleepless_stereo_addon.zip .. or they were just dumb enough to put it into my personal music directory: ftp://ftp.scene.org/pub/music/artists/kb/sleepless_stereo_addon.zip ... i hope, one of these links works. For those who don't know what TinyPTC is, it's a tiny version of OpenPTC, a multi-platform truecolor graphics library. * Gaffer informs me, ports to X11, DGA, and SDL are almost ready for release. He is looking for people to help port it to other platforms also, so if you're fluent in BeOS, Mac programming and/or other platforms, be sure to get in touch with Gaffer. * http://www.gaffer.org/tinyptc/ Posted by Sulphur. Musician wanted for a promo-CD. * Noticed that Invoke posted a msg on comp.sys.ibm.pc.demos looking for musicians. Here is his message: * "I`m the programmer of what is going to be a promotional cd-rom for the Hogeschool van Amsterdam (i believe it`s called University of Personal Education in English but not sure, you`ll have to believe me on that :) ) I`m in a project group with six other students who have to realise this product. The other people are for graphics and capturing the required movies. The cd will run under Windows and maybe some other platforms in the future. Sadly, none of the members in the project group knows how to make a decent tune so what we`re looking for is a intro (startup tune of the cd, when the HvA logo is displayed and such) and maybe a tune while browsing the contents of the cd. If you feel up to it and want to help us out, or you have some appropriate music lying around that you think we can use then please contact us. You will be fully credited in the final product and get the cd send to you when it`s done. You can contact us for further info at mailto:jdevalk@multiweb.nl" Posted by Civax.
