That's correct ... No way to solve that ... Unless someone
dedicates a Cray Supercomputer to heuristically find
songs that sound alike and signal that so a human can review it,
or a team of professional listeners get paid to listen to
all the songs and find which ones are equal ... :-)
But at least the tags would help finding who's the original author
Think of a dj carbon that picks up a mod from someone
that credited the mod to himself, but wasn't the author
(and pretends to be) ... See what I mean?
Happy Music Making! :-)
(P.s. Boy, I always thought trackers are the hackers
of music ... getting out of a Sb16 or a Gravis
what others do (or don't even do) w/ tons of gear! :-) )
: : Imagine (again, sorry if I don't get into tech details)
: : that when you do a copy and paste from another author tune,
: : the prog adds the original author in a tag ...
: Yup. But what about DJ Carbon? He took mods and made MP3s out of them with some wav writer. No way to protect against that technically is there? No ID tags would follow, right?
: cheers!
